Help a Child Get Back to School.

IT’S A COMEBACK – Back to School Campaign – GlobalGiving

CVC Charity is launching its “IT’S A COMEBACK – راجعين نتعلّم” Back-to-School Campaign 2026–2027, a one-year education recovery initiative supporting vulnerable and crisis affected children across Lebanon to return to learning with dignity, safety, and hope.

The campaign is grounded in the right of every child to access education without discrimination, regardless of their economic situation, displacement status, nationality, disability, or the circumstances affecting their family. Yet, for many children across Lebanon, this right continues to be challenged by poverty, displacement, conflict, rising education costs, damaged learning spaces, learning loss, food insecurity, and limited access to essential educational resources.

For many families, basic education related expenses have become increasingly difficult to afford. These barriers can contribute to absenteeism, exclusion, stigma, unequal learning opportunities, and increased risks of children dropping out of school.

Through “IT’S A COMEBACK,” CVC Charity aims to address the financial, educational, and social barriers that prevent children from accessing and remaining in school. The campaign will provide essential support including school bags, stationery, books, learning materials, uniforms, transportation assistance, and scholarships for children at most risk of dropping out. Where funding allows, the campaign will also support academic catchup and learning retention activities, psychosocial support, teacher training, school readiness, minor repairs, and improvements to safe, functional, and inclusive learning spaces.

Attention will be given to children who face greater risks of exclusion, including children from low-income families, displaced and refugee children, and children with disabilities. By addressing these barriers, the campaign seeks not only to help children return to school, but also to support them in remaining engaged, recovering learning gaps, participating fully in their education, and experiencing a learning environment where they feel safe, supported, and included.

As part of its 2026–2027 campaign goals, CVC Charity aims to reach more than 15,000 students and youth, 240 teachers, and more than 100 schools and learning spaces, while indirectly reaching more than 12,000 households and communities across Lebanon. These targets reflect the campaign’s commitment to combining immediate education assistance with longer-term support for learning recovery, retention, teacher capacity, inclusion, and safer learning environments.

“IT’S A COMEBACK” goes beyond providing school supplies; it is about removing the barriers that keep children from fully participating in education and helping restore opportunities that crisis and hardship have taken away.

With a fundraising goal of $50,000, CVC Charity is calling on individuals, companies, foundations, and institutional donors to help ensure that a child’s access to education is not determined by poverty, displacement, disability, or crisis. Every school bag provided, every transportation barrier removed, every learning gap addressed, and every child supported represents an opportunity to return to education with dignity. Together, we can help children get back to school, back to learning, and back to being children.
