As part of its collaboration with ANERA, CVC Charity Lebanon is supporting young people in Chhim through a skills development initiative designed to strengthen their professional skills, confidence, and readiness for future employment opportunities.

The initiative supports young women and men up to the age of 25, with a particular focus on developing practical and functional skills that can help them prepare for the labor market. As part of the program, 12 young women participated in training sessions covering Competency-Based Training (CBT), Youth Functional Skills (YFS), Life Skills, and Advanced Life Skills.

The sessions also focused on English language learning and teaching methods, helping participants strengthen their understanding of English concepts and grammar while developing effective approaches to teaching and communicating with children. For young women interested in pursuing careers in education, these skills can help them communicate more confidently and create more engaging learning environments.

Beyond the technical skills, the sessions provided participants with an opportunity to practice, interact, and build their confidence. Through different activities and exercises, they were encouraged to recognize their strengths and develop skills that can support them in both their professional and personal lives.

The learning experience will continue beyond the training sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to apply their newly developed skills through Cash for Work placements in schools and educational centers in the area. The placements will give them practical experience working with children and allow them to put their teaching and communication skills into practice in a real working environment.

For Amar Moalem, one of the participating young women, the training has been an important opportunity to improve her skills and confidence.

Through its partnership with ANERA, CVC Charity Lebanon continues to create opportunities for young people to develop practical skills, gain experience, and build confidence as they prepare for their future careers. By combining skills development, English language learning, teaching methods, and practical work experience, the initiative is helping young women take meaningful steps toward their future as educators and professionals.
