Livelihoods Sector
The livelihoods sector aims to create various job opportunities, develop
the capacities of rights holders, empower them and transform them from
consumers into producers, by creating the appropriate environment and providing
the necessary logistical support such as consultations, training, grants and
soft loans for economically feasible projects.
CVC Charity works to achieve 4 main goals.
First: Stimulating
local economic development to provide income-generating jobs.
Second: Increasing the
percentage of employment and income generation (primarily women and
adolescents).
Third: Developing
creative skills and ideas through capacity building.
Fourth: Enhancing
social cohesion and stability.
These goals are planned to be achieved through the following projects:
1. Vocational training:
The Association of
Charity and Voluntary Convention in Lebanon prepares training courses for
various segments of society with the aim of building capabilities and
increasing job opportunities.
2. Environmental awareness campaigns, food security and micro-farming:
All attendees benefit from various awareness sessions by specialists,
and these campaigns help to improve the diet, develop micro-farming skills,
healthy cooking and increase environmental awareness and health protection.
3- Support and development of small projects:
Supporting business owners through micro, small
and medium commercial professions within several sectors and in various
Lebanese regions, with a focus on the agricultural and environment sectors
through:
• Supporting businesses with small,
non-profitable loans
• Offering small grants.
• Providing development and entrepreneurship
sessions.
• Providing advisory services to beneficiaries.
• Individual training sessions.
• Group training sessions.
